Throughout my creative process, my ideas have been influenced and improved to adjust to my magazine's effectiveness. Compared to my first draft which I created roughly 2 months ago, the layout has mainly stayed the same with the masthead, title, and coverlines, however the idea I had for the central image has changed. What has also changed through the process is that I originally planned on using Photoshop to put together and edit my magazine, but Adobe quit working and I had no choice but to swith programs. So I chose my second option Canva, but I think the result is equally as successful as it would have been with Photoshop.

I decided to include the artist in the cover so the reader can see the face behind the art when they first look at the cover instead of just including a picture of one artwork. Just using a picture is not very intriguing and would not make a buyer pick it off the shelf, but a more dynamic picture of the artist in front of his artwork is more interesting. The only other thing that has changed is the color of the font for the masthead, title, and coverlines. I changed the color of the font of the title and coverlines to be white so it is visible among the background.

In my final cover, the masthead is at the bottom because it frames the picture the best there and is a good size so it stands out but allows the other text to be visible too. The title is at the top left like my original draft because it looks best there filling in the empty space. The coverlines replaced above the painting to not overlap it, but below the title to imply it is the content. the QR code it at the bottom right of the image to fill in the empty space and make use of it.
