Magazine Genre Selection

The 2 previous genres I chose were Food, Cooking, and Beverages and the other Art and Media. These past two photoshoots were both really diverse in style. For the food genre, I photographed different styles of food (Israeli and Japanese) from house and restaurant cooking and for the art genre I photographed different styles of art (painting and graffiti) from hobby and public expression. I loved each of these photoshoots because of the diversity and difference presented.

My final magazine will be about Art and Media since it gives power to a person to express themselves that viewers may find relatable or inspiring. Additionally, there is a long range of styles and variety that could be presented that allow anyone feel connected to that message. Art holds great value in society since it inspires creativity that would be less adjacent if there was no one expressing themselves in ways people can interprate differently. This is why I am happy choosing this as my magazine genre. Artists can express their feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and more so it can inspire creativity to the audience. My magazine will be different because it will focus on all types of art and give credit and apreciation to the artist. Additionally, the art being presented can educate the public on issues or let the viewer relate to the message and feel less alone in a bad time. Connecting art to world issues and applying what the audience learns can help them break the barier between technological world and feel more rooted.
