Food, Cooking, and Beverages

There are so many cultures and styles of food around the world that are overlooked and not appreciated. Cuisine in the United States and in the Middle East are different but unique and tasty. There is so much to learn from these different styles of food and I am open to exploring each culture. Food isn't just cultural but can also be vegan/vegetarian. It is becoming popular amongst society that people steer away from meat and/or dairy so it is time to learn of new tasty recipes for vegans and/or vegetarians. There are so many categories of food that can be explored.

This is a good example of a food magazine cover because the colors, font, and layout is very cohesive. The constant yellow, white, and green throughout the text and photo lets the text work with the photo. The font is fun and the use of different font keeps the cover alive and interesting instead of feeling monotone and unenthusiastic. The layout is organized and doesn't overlap on the food in the image but flows with it. Overall, this is a complementary and appealing magazine food cover.

Fashion

Every now and then there is always a new trend that impacts the fashion world and exploring what new ideas will be a big hit is always so interesting. Celebrities and influencers all use their platform to express their style and personality through their clothing. Social media has also become a big outlet for the fashion industry through TikTok and Instagram. It seems that every week there is always something different trending and this cycle is constant. Either it be something new or an old trend that has come back. The fashion industry is always developing and changing which keeps it so interesting.

This magazine cover by Vogue is a good example of a clean and powerful cover. The color theme is very consistent with the grey background, white font and dress, and black font. The font is clean and doesn't take away from Naomi. The image sends a powerful message and the text supports it. The layout is not messy and is not covering important parts of the photo. The text over the bottom of the dress is laid out well because it covers the boring part of the dress. Overall this is an example of a good magazine fashion cover for its precise layout and clean look.

Health and Fitness

The health and fitness industry has learned and developed so much. New information has inspired people to maintain their health and live a healthy lifestyle. There is so much to know about keeping a healthy lifestyle and balance especially in such an inspiring way. Learning from different influencers and authors from one book is the easiest way to keep your goal in mind. The magazine will go through the best ways to stay fit, what to use, and to inspire the reader to keep going at it and never give up. The magazine is always filled with inspiring quotes that help push them and do their best.

The colors are cohesive and the layout is not blocking the model in the image. The text is giving the reader detailed descriptions of what is being help in the pages and the font and color are simplistic to look neutral for both genders. The model is giving the reader an idea of what they could look like if they keep reading which is exactly what the authors want. There are also positive words that help the reader want to read like "inspire", "goal", and "healthy". Overall, this is a gender neutral, descriptive, and motivating cover.

Art and Media

The arts have always been a big part of society because it allows people to be creative and express themselves. Over many decades and centuries, it has evolved and new things have been created. People have been experimenting with art and its abilities and it is so interesting to see how people think and what they can create. I love seeing how people can deliver a message through art and not just painting or makeup but through the media too. Whether is be social media or television, there are so many ways to express a thought or belief. I want to look more into that and create a diverse magazine full of these ideas and what they created.

The cover is very cohesive and the text doesn't take away from the art displayed in the background. The text is simple and either black or white so you can see it. The text doesn't write too much to take away from the artwork but tells enough of what will be seen in the pages. There are artists being cited for the art in the background to provide credibility. Overall, this cover is very cohesive and allows the art to stand out while also providing the information to the reader.
