In class we learned how to use Adobe photoshop with a practice assignment. This was a composite image I put together on my own using photoshop. During the process for the practice I followed a video that was very helpful but as I did it on my own there were a lot of tools that felt complicated and difficult to find. But, I managed to find it and make the image look complete and good. One challenge for the one on my own was adding a filter to the painting and frame to match the one with the statue.
The practice:

On my own:

I made my composite image by putting the frame and painting onto one tab and adding all the colors with the paintbrush and cropping the images to look nice. Then I went to the one of the statue and duplicated the image 4 times and flipped the images to extend the background so there would be more room for the painting. I added the painting onto the background and sized it to look good in size compared to the statue.

This is what the frame and painting looked like on its own tab and how I combined the layers to bring it to the other image of the statue.

Notice the slight difference in color that is lighter which didn't look good on the other image so I darkened it with the paintbrush on transparent and in black. I darkened the image to look more realistic and fit the lighting and make it look more aged like the statue's style.

This is what the image of the statue looked like before I added the painting to it. You can see the different layers of the background duplicated to extend it for the painting. I played around with the background by flipping it to look as good as possible with the texture and lighting.
